Christmas Eve

The tradition is saying that on the Christmas Eve you need to have only meatless meals. I am not the most traditional person in the world but I think that there are some very nice traditions. I think you will agree with that :).

This year we've decided to follow the tradition :)

The Christmas eve won't be the same without some homemade bread with the lucky coin, baked stuffed peppers with beans, stuffed cabbage leaves with rice and a kind of Pumpkin pie - the so called tikvena banitsa :)

And what did you have for diner in the Christmas eve? :)

Winter

                                                                  Merry Christmas!

It's been a long time since I've had so long vacation in the winter. I even don't remember when was the last time.. I think I was still in the University. So yes, a very long time ago :).

I hope you are all enjoying your holidays as much as I do. I had a very nice time in Vratsa with my family and now I am going to spend the new year's eve with friends in Sofia :)

What I really love about the winter is Christmas: the getting together with your family and friends; the presents; and last but not least the snow! :)

What is the winter without snow!? And this year there was snow! There was so much snow everywhere! Unfortunately for me, after 24 of December the weather turn to be very hot for the season - 16 degree!! :) But I do hope that it will be snowing again for the 31 of December :)

For those of you who enjoy the winter as much as I do here are some picture from you:

Christmas time!

Christmas is coming! What better time to go and visit the local Christmas market in front of the "Ivan Vazov" National Theater and have some mulled wine or tea :)

Sunrise over the mountain :)

Another weekend away from Sofia! This time we've decided to spend our weekend in the SPA Hotel resort "3 Mountains" near Razlog :)

It's a very nice boutique hotel located close to Bulgaria’s most famous ski resort of Bansko. It's a perfect place to have some relaxing time away from the city.

Sunday afternoon

The summer is almost over but it’s still sunny outside so why don’t you get dress and have a nice long walk? Is there a better way to spend your Sunday afternoon?

Sometimes you can discover new places. Other times you may see interesting faces which you didn’t expect to see in the big city. For example how often do you meet in person with a chimney sweep these days?
